Victoria "Vic" Scarborough Judge, a cherished pillar of the Deep Bottom community in Wallace, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, at the age of 74 at Wallace Rehabilitation Center in Wallace, NC. She was born on February 11, 1952, to the late Fannie and James Lee Scober in the same county she loved and never left.
Vic's journey began in the heart of Duplin County, where she was raised alongside her beloved siblings Rafell, Isolene, and Hayes Donnell Scober (Tammie). She attended the Duplin County School System. Her commitment to her faith was evident early on as she became a devoted member of Union Missionary Baptist Church in Deep Bottom, where she served as an usher with grace and devotion.
Throughout her life, Vic's work ethic shone brightly. She was a familiar face at House of Raeford in Teachey, where her colleagues respected her diligence and camaraderie. Later, she brought warmth and hospitality to Cavenaugh's Supper House, leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed her path.
Vic's heart was truly the heart of her family. She was a loving mother to her sons Victor, Jason, and Ashlin Judge. Her legacy expanded through her six grandchildren: Jason, Marquis, Shawn, Ameer, Ayanna, and Dayauna, who brought her immeasurable joy. Vic also loved and was loved by her nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and friends.
