William "Melvin" Rochelle, age 72, of Greensboro and formerly of Maple Hill, peacefully answered the Master's call on June 10, 2026. He leaves behind his wife, Diana, and his loving children, along with a profound legacy of faith, family, and hard work. Born on November 1, 1953, in Pender County, North Carolina, Melvin was the cherished son of the late Margaret Rose Pickett Rochelle and John Edward Rochelle. He received his education through the Pender County School System before embarking on a dedicated, lifelong career of service. Melvin spent many years working with White Oak Cone Mills in Greensboro, NC, and later followed his passion for the open road, earning his Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to travel the country as a long-distance truck driver. He later began a distinguished career with the City. Melvin lived a life completely defined by love and dedication to those around him, and his memory will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched.
