Willie E. DeVone, was born on August 26, 1934, in Pender County, North Carolina to the late Roderick DeVone and Loma E. Fennell. He slipped away to his eternal resting place on Monday, February 24, 2020 at his residence. During his formative years he attended Halfway Branch School. “Big Tom” as he was called, was a quiet, friendly person who was devoted to his family. He was always willing to help anyone who was in need. He enjoyed music, building, lawn work, and most of all he loved his job at E.W. Godwin Lumber company, Wilmington, North Carolina.
Willie leaves to cherish his fond memories: TWO SISTERS: Katherine Alderman, Elouise DeVone Register, ONE SISTER-IN-LAW: Margaret DeVone, FAVORITE NEPHEW: Lee Daniel Alderman and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
